Now if you’ve read my post on the Pinterest basics then you’ll know that Pinterest Group Boards are a thing. What you might not know is what they are. And more importantly how to find them on Pinterest. Well fear not! This post is gong to explain all of that and then some.
WHAT ARE PINTEREST GROUP BOARDS?
If you’ve read this post on the three types of Pinterest Boards every blogger needs. Then you’ll know Pinterest allows its users to organise their pins into personal collections known as boards And a group board, is just like a regular board except the owner can invite different collaborators to pin on their boards.
HOW TO FIND GROUP BOARDS
All you need to do is the use the search bar to find group boards. Just:
- Type a subject relevant to your Pinterest niche into the search bar
- Refine your search by clicking ‘All Pins’ next to the search bar and selecting boards
- Then look for a circle icon at the top of the board title with multiple profile images
And that’s how you find group boards through Pinterest. There is another way though. And that’s through a website called Pingroupie.com. You just again search for a topic that is relevant to your niche and then filter through the results
Personally, I look for a board that doesn’t have too many collaborators in. But does have lots of followers.
HOW TO JOIN A PINTEREST GROUP BOARD
Usually you can just join a Group Board using the ‘Request to join’ button. These are the boards that are open to new members. However, some Group Boards might have instructions for joining. Such as emailing the Group Board owner asking to join.
WHY USE GROUP BOARDS ON PINTEREST?
Group boards essentially are a great way to increase your reach on Pinterest. This is because your pins can be seen by a whole new audience. Including the board owner, their followers and collaborators of the boards.
